1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Qoorbell's website (qoorbell.com), mobile applications (iOS and Android), or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Qoorbell.

2. Description of Service

Qoorbell is a virtual smart doorbell platform that allows users to create digital doorbells with unique QR codes. Visitors scan these QR codes to initiate video calls, chat, or send notifications to the doorbell owner. The Service is accessible via our website, iOS app, and Android app. Key features include: virtual doorbell creation and management, QR code generation for printing and placement on doors, real-time video calls between visitors and doorbell owners, in-app chat messaging, push notifications, group management for buildings and organizations, geofencing capabilities, and subscription-based plans with varying feature limits.

3. Account Registration

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to: provide accurate and complete registration information; maintain the security of your account credentials; notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account; be responsible for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

Qoorbell offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to: pay all fees associated with your chosen plan; provide valid payment information through our payment processor (Stripe); authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. If your payment fails, a grace period will apply before your plan is downgraded. Feature limits (doorbells, rings, video call duration, etc.) are enforced based on your active plan.

5. QR Codes & Doorbells

When you create a virtual doorbell, Qoorbell generates a unique QR code. You are responsible for: printing and placing QR codes at appropriate locations (e.g., your door or entrance); ensuring QR codes are placed only on property you own or have authorization to use; not using QR codes for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes; understanding that anyone who scans your QR code can initiate contact with you (subject to your configured settings). Qoorbell is not responsible for the physical placement, durability, or visibility of printed QR codes.

6. Video Calls & Communications

The Service enables video calls and chat between doorbell owners and visitors. You agree to: use video calls and chat for lawful purposes only; not record, distribute, or misuse communications without consent of all parties; not use the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate others; comply with all applicable laws regarding electronic communications and privacy. Qoorbell does not record video calls. Chat messages are stored to provide message history.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to: use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; impersonate any person or entity; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service; share your account credentials with third parties; create doorbells for properties you do not own or have permission to manage; use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it. Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination.

8. Mobile Applications

Our iOS and Android applications are subject to these Terms plus the applicable app store terms (Apple App Store Terms of Service and Google Play Terms of Service). You acknowledge that: the apps are licensed, not sold, to you; Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for our apps; in the event of any failure of the app to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify the app store for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple and Google are not responsible for addressing any claims related to the app. Push notifications are a core feature — disabling them may prevent you from receiving visitor alerts.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by Qoorbell and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create (doorbell names, group configurations, etc.). By using the Service, you grant Qoorbell a limited license to use your content solely to provide the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. QOORBELL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. Qoorbell is not a security system and should not be relied upon as a substitute for physical security measures. QR codes and virtual doorbells are convenience tools and do not provide physical access control. Video call quality depends on internet connectivity and device capabilities, which are outside our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QOORBELL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if: you violate these Terms; your payment is overdue beyond the grace period; we are required to do so by law; we discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice). Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy retention schedule.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Qoorbell operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Service, our mobile apps, or via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the Service.
